This is my second time using Aurora Floorworkz for vinyl — living room, a bedroom (hack away), and the corridor, done in about six hours with two installers.
They’re also on the contractor list at Renodirectly — renodirectly.com is where I document my renovation, mainly sharing how I order directly from China, and listing the contractors I personally use. Aurora earned another slot after this job.
Direction first, then lay
The team arrived around 9:30am. Before they started, they asked me about the direction of the vinyl — laid out a few sample planks so we could confirm the run, then got to work.
Progress while I was next door
I was hanging out at my neighbour’s place, so I went up periodically to check progress. Two guys on the job. Scope was the living room, a bedroom (hack away), and the corridor.
About six hours, including lunch
I left around 3:30pm. End to end that’s roughly six hours including a lunch break — solid pace for living room + bedroom + corridor. Overall I’m pleased with how it turned out; booking them again was the right call.
Next: carpentry, then move back
Next up is waiting for carpentry to arrive and get installed, then I can move back. Meanwhile I’m preparing to grab stuff from Shopee so everything can be installed in one go once the carpentry is in.
